While at Creighton, Dueck helped lead the Bluejays to two Big East Regular Season Championships, two Big East titles, two NCAA Tournament berths, and a program record 31 wins this past season. Dueck and the Bluejays capped off the 2021 season with a stellar 31-4, 16-2 Big East record.

“I am incredibly excited about this new opportunity Coach Belz has provided me to join the Stony Brook volleyball program! What a privilege it is to be a part of such a talented coaching staff and program. I look forward to using my strengths to continue to build the success of Stony Brook volleyball! I cannot wait to join the team on Long Island! Go Seawolves!” said coach Dueck.

Creighton took down DePaul and Marquette on back-to-back days to claim the 2021 Big East Championship. The Bluejays then went on to defeat Ole Miss in straight sets in the opening round of this past year’s NCAA Tournament before falling to Kansas in the second round.

I have supervised team managers and practice players and assisted with summer volleyball camps. While at Creighton, I have earned the AVCA Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship.

I have joined the Bluejays’ staff after spending the Fall of 2020 at Auburn University in a similar role. Dueck also has experience coaching at the high school and club levels both with indoor and beach volleyball. He was the girls’ volleyball head coach at Sunnyside High in Fresno, Calif., for one season prior to heading to Auburn.

The California native earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University in May 2017, then went back to Fresno Pacific to obtain his Teaching Credential in Physical Education in December 2019.
